Sandra Ordonez, M.D. earned her medical degree at the University of San Antonio Abad in Cusco, Peru. She worked as an Emergency Medicine physician in Peru and Israel for ten years before relocating to the United States. Dr. Ordonez completed her training in Internal Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, including a rotation at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. As a resident, she managed patients with multiple medical conditions, including hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and heart failure, in addition to providing wound care.
Dr. Ordonez is drawn to Internal Medicine and primary care because the field allows her to provide continuity of care and pursue her passion for making a difference in the quality of life for her patients. She is passionate about wellness and focuses on preventive measures that can improve your health, especially small behavioral changes and the importance of nutrition that fits with your culture and lifestyle.
Dr. Ordonez is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
