Austin Primary Care Internal Medicine Physician Needed:
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, routine vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or
prevent illness, disease, or injury.
Order, perform and interpret test and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients’ condition.
Collect, record and maintain patients’ information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
Advise patients and community members regarding diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioners when necessary.
Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapist, pharmacist, psychologist, and other health care providers.
Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, medical assistants, dietitians, social workers, care managers, physical therapist, diabetes educators and pharmacists.
For the best interest of the patients, coordinate patient care with as many physicians from other specialties as needed, such as ophthalmologist, neurologists, cardiologist, and endocrinologist.
Plan and implement, or administer health programs.
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Board Certification in Internal Medicine and licensed in Texas State, completed 2 years residency requirement (Internal medicine residency training in an accredited program), and have over 2 year experience as physician in treating disease and injuries of human internal organ system.
